Winnipeg Wedding Photography

Hiring a Wedding Photographer is about providing you with a fun, stress-free wedding day, capturing all the laughs, smiles, and magic moments of the day that will last a lifetime. You want someone that will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, who will capture all of those amazing in-between candid moments, too!

I'm Teri, a Winnipeg-based Documentary Wedding Photographer who works in a candid, natural style to tell the story of your special day. A big part of my ethos at TAG Photography is making people feel comfortable enough to share their love stories, so we can share it with the world, so others can be inspired to share their love stories as well. I value representation so much that I proudly support the Black Lives Matter movement, honour our Indigenous roots and community, and wholeheartedly support everyone and every body regardless of shape, colour, size, or form of love.

If that sounds about right, you've come to the perfect place for your wedding photographer!

Despite the fact that Canada is one of the most progressive countries in terms of gay rights and was one of the first to allow gay marriages, there is still a long way to go in terms of marriage equality. Same-gender weddings hold a special place in my heart. They feel like a victorious culmination of the gay community's years of struggle. My best friend struggled for many years before he finally came out. Queer love stories should be treasured and with sensitivity and honesty, I will tell your story.

In bridal blogs, magazines, and possibly other places, this type of photographer may be referred to as a reportage photographer or someone who captures the day in a photojournalistic manner, but it all comes down to the same thing. A documentary photographer is someone who captures the day candidly, using non-posed natural photography to tell the story of your day from start to finish. There will be no interrupting or asking people to say cheese. It's just the photographer sneaking around with their camera, capturing all the amazing real-life moments that would otherwise be lost. That's not to say that a documentary photographer doesn't capture staged photography with the bride, groom and bridal party, they do, but you're hiring someone who is creating more than just these photos. A documentary wedding photographer is capturing all the moments from the bride and groom getting ready through to the after party.
