Do you need a permit to photograph at Assiniboine Park?

Private portrait sessions do not require a permit. Commercial shoots and large weddings may, and the Assiniboine Park Conservancy handles those requests.

Where should we meet at Assiniboine Park?

Most sessions start at the Pavilion or the English Garden gates, then move toward the pond and river as the sun drops.

Is there an indoor option for winter?

Yes — The Leaf’s indoor gardens are a warm, green backdrop when it is too cold to be outside for long.
